Progress Pics!

Got the belt together, using an surplus army belt, surplus ammunition pouch and some  random black nylon pouches. Gloves are something I found in a sporting goods store and skuffed the logos off of / distressed the velcro straps.

Behold, the reason I don’t usually post what I draw.
I just wanted to give you guys a preview of what is to come, a collaboration between myself and my mother, who should be go into costume making professionally, but she refuses. I’m planning to go to Otakon this year, and this will be one of my cosplays, along with my Scout, and a third cosplay to be determined later.
I dislike the traditional Jedi robes, personally, and it seems like all the “cool” cosplays are Sith. I decided to do a Grey Jedi, A Force-sensitive who neither embraces the Dark Side of the Force, nor does he follow the dogmatic code that most Jedi follow.
More on what this scribble actually entails of what I need:
-A long hooded duster style jacket, with an attached collar/shoulder “armor” made from chainmaille.
-a leather “vest” with chest armor adapted from Mandolorian patterns (think Jango Fett’s chest armor, but with the pauldrons and neckpiece removed)
-Bracers that are capable of fitting to the jacket sleeve.
-Close fitting pants and shirt for the base garments.
-some sort of binding for the calves
-Find boots that look right
-a belt and pouches (thinking something army surplus, and just dying it)
All before the end of July.

gil-narmor:

My sexy Lightsaber hilt. Started off with an Ultrasabers Aeon V2 LE and added the grip, leather wrap, and hilt embellishments myself. An elegant weapon, indeed.

A Special thanks to my followers.

I appreciate you guys and gals so much! Every time I see that I have you following, it makes me smile, and when you reblog, I smile even bigger. You are the best.
